What Makes These Sessions Different
Genuinely Neutral Coordination
The coordinator does not take sides, does not offer opinions on the family's choices, and does not suggest outcomes. Time is shared equally and agenda items are agreed in advance.
Everything in Writing
Every session ends with a written record that belongs to the family. No verbal commitments get lost. The summary is circulated to all parties within three working days.
Calm, Unhurried Pace
Sessions are timed so no single voice fills the room. The agenda is set before you arrive, and the coordinator moves things along without rushing anyone to a conclusion.
A Clear Path to Professionals
When specialist input is needed, Hearthline provides a directory of registered practitioners in the Klang Valley area — so you know where to go next without having to search from scratch.
Handled with Discretion
Family matters stay within the room. Session notes are shared only with the participants present, and the service operates within Malaysian data handling norms.
Practical, Not Prescriptive
The output of every programme is something you can hold, file, and hand to a professional. Documents, binders, and timelines — not advice, not recommendations, not instructions.

Common Questions
Things Families Usually Ask First
What exactly does a facilitated conversation involve?
A Hearthline coordinator runs the session as a structured conversation, not a negotiation or a hearing. Each person has equal time on the agenda. The coordinator notes what is agreed and what is still open. At the end, everyone receives the same written summary. The coordinator does not advise, judge, or steer the family toward any outcome.
Is the written summary a legal document?
No. The summaries and binders produced by Hearthline are household records. They carry no formal standing and are not filed anywhere. If you need a document with legal standing, Hearthline provides a directory of registered solicitors and mediators in Kuala Lumpur who can help with that next step.
Can sessions be held online?
Yes. Conversation Facilitation sessions are available both in person at our Bukit Damansara office and via a secure video link. Documentation appointments for the Shared Arrangements Toolkit can also include a video option, though some families prefer to collect their printed binder in person.
How long does the Records and Timeline Programme take?
The programme runs over three months, with a monthly review meeting included. The pace is set by how much paperwork the family needs to sort through. At the end, you receive a bound handover pack, a digital copy on your own storage, and a summary sheet ready for any qualified professional you choose to consult.
What does Hearthline not do?
Hearthline does not give legal advice, make health assessments, offer financial guidance, represent any party, or communicate on anyone's behalf. We are a communication and information support service. For professional advice, we refer families to the appropriate registered practitioners via our directory.
How are session costs structured?
Conversation Facilitation is priced at RM 480 per two-hour session. The Shared Arrangements Documentation Toolkit is RM 1,620 for four appointments across eight weeks, including the printed binder and digital templates. The Family Records and Timeline Programme is RM 4,090 for three months. All fees are in Malaysian Ringgit and are payable before each session or programme begins.
